I have grown up hunting the very timber that you will be hunting
for that gigantic whitetail or that strutting tom. I have leased all
your hunting "hot stops" from my father. He farms more then 3500 acres
of prime Iowa farm ground, in other words, he plants a huge food plot
for me every year! He has been farming this ground for 50 years. This
ground has been in the family for many years. We know the territory!
We know where the deer bed down. We know where they like to go for
food. We know their habits. We spend our free time scouting for
whitetail or turkey.
We have worked, studied, and researched for many years to help ensure
you will have the Iowa whitetail and turkey hunt of a lifetime
Antlers & Beards will provide:

Tree Stands:
95% of our tree stands are ladder stands. Each ladder stand has a
non-slip service to ensure your safety. The height of my stands will
range from 26 – 13 feet to the standing platform. The standing
platform is a generous 12” by 24”. The seat of each stand has a
comfortable pad that will allow you to sit all day long with out
callas forming on your dairy re air. Above each seat is an equipment
hanger for you to hang your bow and all of your hunting supplies for
the day. I have built all of the ladder stands with solid welds, no
spot welding, to ensure excellent craftsmanship. I make my ladder
stands strong enough to hold your mother and mother-in-law fighting
over a grand child! You MUST bring your own safety harness.
Iowa Shooting House
The extreme weather in Iowa during the fall and winter months can
become unbearable. With temperatures well below 0 and the wind-chill
in the negatives, Hunting would be the last thing on the sensible
persons mind. Not with the Iowa Shooting House! We have built an 8’ by
8’ shooting house that stands 10-12 feet off the ground. In the house,
you will be able to control the temperature with a portable heater or
crack the window for a little breeze. There will be shelves inside to
put your coffee, food, gun, and shooting supplies.
Double Bull Blinds
We have blinds to keep you warm and dry during the rainy days of the
Iowa Turkey Hunt. We will do the calling for you or we will set the
tent up and let you call till you are blue in the face. If you would
like we can sit along a fence line or next to a tree in camouflage,
for the more adventurous hunt. We will suit your wants and needs for
your Turkey hunt.
Food Plots
I like to brag about having one of the best and biggest food plots
around, 3500 across of Iowa corn and soybeans. Since we thought this
was not enough we have added MossyOak Biologic full draw, perennial
plus, and green patch plus. Along with Tecomate Lab plus and monster
mix. And Whitetail Institute imperial whitetail clover and imperial
alfa rack have made a huge impact on our game. With all of these
attractants, plus our hard work at managing our deer and turkey we
ensure you the best Iowa hunt possible!
Meals:
Living on a farm and in Iowa I have been blessed with Great Iowa food
and tons of it! Luckily, I found a wonderful wife that loves to cook.
When you are hunting with us you will eat well! Before you step into
the timber to hunt, we will have breakfast waiting for you. Also, when
you leave you will have a lunch to tide you over till suppertime.
After a great day of hunting, you will come to my home where you will
find some scrumptious eats. Iowa beef roast, Iowa Pork Chops, catfish,
chicken, venison, and all the fixings, will be waiting for you. If you
still have room dessert will consist of cheesecakes, homemade pie and
ice cream.
All prices include all the food you can eat and all the hunting you
can jamb into a day. You will need to pay for your motel room, but we
will transport you from there to your hunting spot.
