Antler Ridge Acres is a family owned and operated outfitter in Brown County, IL. We offer deer hunts for the success of a true hunter. In an effort to maintain a premium deer population, we only allow a limited number of hunters each year.

This property is a natural area for heavy
deer traffic. There are abundant food
& water supplies, natural crossing areas, and areas of dense cover.


Our expert guides know the area by heart and incorporate the latest technology (check out our trail timer pics) in developing patterns of resident deer behaviors.

Our goal is to maximize the success of all hunters by strictly limiting the number of hunters, and the number of deer taken each year. Therefore, you can expect quality hunts year after year.

Antler Ridge Acres is owned and operated by Eric Schenk of Mt. Sterling, IL. Its location is in Brown County, which is well known for its deer population and trophy bucks. In an issue of Illinois Game & Fish an article read, "Few who have hunted Brown would argue that more trophy deer occur per square mile in this county than any other." The article also states that the county "holds two of Illinois' largest contiguous woodlands." These woodlands also contain Siloam Springs State Park, and our land is only approximately 7 miles from one of these regions.

Consider hunting this prime whitetail and turkey land in Brown County, IL. We offer 5-7 day, semi guided hunts throughout the season, but only 12 hunters are allowed each week. We own approximately 800 acres (click for aerial photos) of land in which we use mineral salt, protein blocks, and red clover to attract deer and enhance antler growth. The land has been scouted with bedding areas, scrape lines, and rubs well known and kept track of. Therefore, we can help place you in a good area to maximize your hunting experience!

Rates: Prices are extremely reasonable and include lodging. Meals/food can also be arranged. Please call or email me for specific amounts.

Hunt Dates for 2006
Oct. 22nd - 28th
Oct. 29th - Nov. 4th
Nov. 5th - 11th
Nov. 12th - 16th

Bonuses include:

$50 1st doe kill (one per hunter, yearlings excluded)
$200 largest buck kill (biggest buck for the year)

Payment:
You need 30% down to reserve your space (this down payment is not refundable)! The remainder of the cost needs to be paid in full two weeks prior to your hunt. No credit card payments will be taken! All personal checks must clear before you begin your hunt. Cashier's checks are preferred for the easiest payment.
