Bear Creek Shooting Preserve offers excellent hunting on farmland
that has no previous hunting pressure. There are multiple tower stands
for couples and several tree stands overlooking food plots planted
with corn, wheat, grain sorgham, clover, minerals, peas, and other
deer favorites.
Deer Hunting
With over 1500 acres and over fifteen years of quality management deer
hunting at Black Creek Plantation offers the opportunity to harvest
the buck of a lifetime while hunting with us. The average buck will
gross more than 120 B&C points with our largest buck to date grossing
over 155 B&C.
How We Hunt- Most hunting is done from tree stands (climbers, ladder,
ground blinds and box stands). You are also welcome to bring your own.
We scout each tract for months and place stands where we have seen
good bucks and buck sign. With over 20 years hunting this property we
have the knowledge to help you come eye-to-eye with a nice buck.

Gallery In addition to the bucks taken off our plantation two trophy
class bucks were also taken from surrounding properties. One wide
typical will score between 160 - 165 B&C and a non-typical that will
score in the 190s. The most productive time to get a big buck is
during the pre-rut and rut. These prime times are from Oct. 25th -
Nov. 20th.
Deer hunting at Black Creek Plantation is available through membership
only. We have a limit of 10 memberships per year. There are currently
2 memberships available for the 2006- 07 season. See our membership
section for details.
Bag Limit - Each memberships includes 2 mature buck ( 7 points and 13
inch spread or better) and four does. There is a fine of $500.00 for
undersized bucks, this includes button bucks.
Buckeye Lodge can provide a memorable and affordable hunting
experience for you, your family, and your business clients.
Hunts can be booked for one day up to as many as desired (depending on
booking schedule). All transportation to and from hunting areas is
provided. Tree stands are provided or you can use your own. Meals,
lodging, guide fees and fishing are included in the hunting fee. There
are no hidden costs!.
We have several game processors available in the area. Our guide staff
is knowledgeable and experienced on guiding white tail deer hunters.
All hunts cannot be 100% successful, but we will promise you every
effort will be made to bring about a memorable hunting experience with
lots of good Southern hospitality. We welcome the young, inexperienced
hunter as well as the seasoned veterans.
While relaxing between hunts, we invite you to fish in the lake . It
is stocked with trophy largemouth bass, bream and crappie
