Turkey Hunting

Warning: Turkey hunting can become addictive! If you have never heard the thunderous boom of a turkey gobbling on a spring morning then you are in for a treat. After fly down then you and your guide get to match wits with a mature gobbler until he comes in strutting and drumming. Spring gobbler hunting at Black Creek is from late March to May15th. With over 1500 acres and only 3 groups of hunters everyone has plenty of room. There are two hunters per guide. Hunts begin an hour before daybreak and includes a midday break for lunch. After lunch its back looking for a hot gobbling tom. Afternoons of fishing for largemouth bass or hunting wild boar can be included with these hunts.

We have had another great year of turkey hunting in 2005. After a slow start everything heated up towards the end of the season with a number of mature birds being killed. We saw to be a good number of jakes in 2005 which means a lot of mature birds for the upcoming season. Hope to see you then.

There is nothing more exciting than watching that old gobbler court the hens in the spring. Buckeye has some good flocks of turkey just waiting to challenge you, call early and reserve a hunt. They are always easier to call early in the season.
